Peter Rubin created Sanford Design as the result of 30 years in the textile industry. Originally, in knitwear design and production for the high end apparel trade, his inspiration is derived from understanding the nature of fibers, their relationship to textures and stitches, bringing a breath of fresh air to the home accessory trade. He selects fibers from around the world which provide their own rich and unique flavors. The range is quite extensive, from mohair blends to fine merino wools with hints of cashmere and angora. The buttery wool boucles, along with the natural look of recycled and comb cottons to the wonderful drape of Bamboo. Every single one of the fibers is also selected for their warmth and a superb hand. The designs and color palettes provide a spectrum that compliment any living environment be it contemporary or traditional, city apartment, suburban home or beach house.
